Kevin,
I don't want to get down on speakers too much, because it takes a lot of time and effort to prepare a presentation. But as one who has prepared and given numerous presentations (and taught the craft as well), I believe anyone can give a good presentation, given time and practice. I highly recommend "Presentation Zen," "Slide-ology" and "Resonate" which are all terrific books to help anyone put a great presentation together. These suggestions are given with the spirit of trying to make the presenter better - which makes the audience a more attentive, informed and engaged audience. After all, without an audience, where would the presenter be?

Tim,
I also attended the summit and I agree completely with your assessment of presentations. I also witnessed text heavy slides and after awhile I would miss the main message because I was overwhelmed with bullets. The use of images to support your presentation was much more effective. I felt Scott presentation was excellent, his delivery was fantastic and slide worked well with the message he was communicating.
